Omega Speedmaster with silicon hairspring

The latest addition to the Speedmaster family is a highly precise model thanks to the SpirateTM system, which features a revolutionary patented spiral system that allows for ultra-fine adjustment. Thanks to this unique mechanism, the movement achieves an incredible accuracy of 0/+2 seconds per day.
In order for OMEGA to achieve this, they essentially had to reinvent the wheel. The innovative solution was to create a completely new silicon (Si14) oscillator, which allows the watchmaker to adjust the hairspring's stiffness via an adjustment point located eccentrically on the bridge above it.
This new approach, the design of the new oscillator, reflects OMEGA's ongoing commitment to achieving high precision.
