Few brands in the history of Swiss watchmaking can boast as long a history and tradition of innovation as TAG Heuer. Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in the Jura Mountains, the company has been at the forefront of sporty elegance and technical innovation ever since. The brand's name is synonymous with the world of motorsport, particularly the Monaco Grand Prix, where TAG Heuer became the official title partner for the first time in 2025. This historic moment is celebrated by the brand new TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch, which evokes the spirit of the iconic Heuer stopwatches of the 1960s and 1970s in a modern guise.

The new Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch is not just a watch, but a journey through time to the exciting moments of racing. Its appearance echoes the classic style of Heuer stopwatches: a combination of black, white, and red. The black circular layout on the dial creates a striking effect in combination with the black square case, in which the silver background color plays an important role. This is one of the reasons why the watch is easy to read in all conditions.

The scale and second hand on the dial are bright red, reinforcing the sporty character of the watch. The white hands and indices on the subdials serve to convey information easily and counterbalance the dominance of dark colors. The dial is protected by a slightly domed sapphire crystal.

The case is sandblasted grade 2 titanium, which is both lightweight and extremely durable. The crown on the left side, one of the most recognizable features of Monaco models, has been retained, reinforcing the watch's unique silhouette. The 39 mm case is paired with a black perforated calfskin strap, reminiscent of classic racing gloves. Sapphire crystal glass and 100-meter water resistance make it perfect for everyday use.

The heart of the movement is the legendary Calibre 11, which carries on the mechanical heritage of the original Monaco models. The square dial features two subdials for the chronograph functions. These are arranged as follows: the minute counter is located at 9 o'clock, while the seconds hand is at 3 o'clock. A date window can be seen at 6 o'clock. Of course, the hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova, making them phosphorescent at night.

Only 970 copies of this limited edition model will be produced, referring to the decade that marked the dawn of the Heuer brand's motorsport heritage. The back of the watch is transparent, allowing us to see the Geneva stripe oscillating weight and observe the mechanism at work.
