
Omega: sixty years on the silver screen

This year marks exactly 60 years since the Omega Seamaster first appeared on James Bond's wrist. And that's quite a piece of history. In nine Bond films, we saw a total of ten different Seamaster models, and only one of them is still available for purchase today. Fortunately, the Bond watch collection called "007 edition" has now grown by another piece.
The Seamaster James Bond 60th Anniversary model celebrates sixty years of collaboration between Omega and Eon Productions, the producer and owner of the film rights to the 007 series.& nbsp;It is a classic Omega Seamaster Diver 300M with all the trimmings, enriched with numerous symbols and references to classic and modern Bond films.
The steel case is 42 mm in size, and the dial is aluminum with a blue oxalate coating. The hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated, and the second hand has a white lacquered finish.
The Caliber 8806 automatic movement has a power reserve of 55 hours and a frequency of 3.5 Hz.

Bond nostalgia
The dynamic element on the back of the case recalls the iconic animation known and loved by Bond fans around the world.
Under the sapphire crystal, the opening title sequence plays out with Bond's silhouette and a rotating gun barrel. The mechanism of this animation is linked to the movement of the second hand, so the action never stops.
On the bezel at the 12 o'clock position, the traditional triangle with a luminescent dot is replaced by a symbolic sixty. This number, together with the minute hand, has a green luminescence, unlike the other indices and hands, which glow blue at night.


The aluminum dial has a blue oxalate finish applied by anodization. The laser-engraved waves are inspired by the watch worn by James Bond in the 1995 film GoldenEye.
The polished stainless steel mesh bracelet is the same design as Bond's titanium watch in the film No Time to Die.
Calibre OMEGA 8806
The watch is equipped with OMEGA's co-axial calibre 8806. It is a Master Chronometer tested and approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). This mechanism can withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.

Blue wooden box in the original Diver 300M design with three dots inspired by the classic opening sequence of Bond films, including a secret button on the right side.

Spectre
Bond uncovers the sinister Spectre organization, which brings together many of his past enemies.
